Deuteronomy 30 Commentary

Deuteronomy 30 Commentary

“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. Verse 11.

Christianity is simple. Never mind the things the LORD hasn’t revealed. 29v29. Mind the things the LORD has revealed. Treasure the word. It’s life!

“See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.” Verse 15.

Choose life, says Moses.

Choose Jesus – the way, the truth, and the life. You will have rejected death and destruction!

Understood but I have fallen far too low in my sin, you might say. Even from that point, you still have the key to your restoration. Obedience is the key!

This chapter challenges the thought that a man can fall beyond redemption. Obedience can undo any amount of falling! We can also see how banishment works. It works like a staircase back to the worship of the God of Abraham, the Creator God.
